SIL is the only primarily silver mining stock that HAS options available. I backed away from any 'buy and hold" action on precious metal mining stocks a year ago, and began buying dips and selling near tops (hopefully, anyhow). I then figured that if I'm trading short term anyhow that I might as well go with options and increase the odds on my "dice rolls", hence options on GG and SIL.
